Our Services
Pathways focuses on creating customized strategies to boost student achievement. Our three-step process includes an initial school-wide assessment, targeted professional training for educators and stakeholders, and continuous monitoring to ensure lasting results and ongoing improvement.

Professional Development
Pathways identifies trends and challenges through observation, data analysis, and collaboration with educators and administrators. It delivers targeted training beginning in August and continuing throughout the school year, providing sustained support and capacity building. With a strong focus on collaboration, Pathways fosters coordination between general education staff, special educators, and related service providers, encouraging open communication and shared problem-solving. This ensures professional development is not only effective in enhancing instructional quality but also tailored to each school’s culture, priorities, and long-term objectives.

Strategic Planning
Pathways supports schools in strategic, continuous planning to improve student performance and strengthen organizational capacity in alignment with their mission. Using a collaborative process, Pathways ensures strategic plans include targeted professional development, clear systems, and consistent policies grounded in ethical practices. Efforts focus on building a mission-driven community, fostering trust, and maintaining accountability through reflection and open dialogue. Pathways manages five-year strategic plans, sets multi-year priorities, facilitates goal-driven working groups, and aligns resources through budgeting. The organization also identifies growth opportunities, oversees new school development processes, and partners with leadership to advance strategic and fundraising initiatives.

Grant Writing
Pathways has helped charter schools across the U.S. and abroad secure over $5 million in grants to improve infrastructure and services. By crafting and submitting competitive proposals, Pathways has obtained funding from government agencies, private foundations, and corporations. Notable efforts include OSSE grant submissions and reporting, Phase I Assurances for ESEA ConApp and IDEA, the McKinney-Vento Homeless Children and Youth Program, the DC School Garden Grant, SOAR Act Academic Quality–Early Childhood, the NSLP Equipment Grant, and the Norman and Ruth Rales Foundation Grant—supporting schools in enhancing academic quality, resources, and student well-being.

Special Education Services
Pathways, under the supervision of the Director of Special Education, promotes inclusive practices and deepens understanding of special education laws, rules, and regulations for students, families, and staff. Serving PreK3–6, Pathways supports Learning Specialists, special educators, and service providers in implementing the special education process, while also assisting administrators and staff in meeting student needs. Collaborating across Scholar Success, Culture & Equity, Academic, and Operations teams, Pathways recommends strategies to improve support for students with exceptional needs. The department manages compliance, develops high-quality, IDEA-aligned documents, monitors timelines, provides targeted professional development, fosters collaboration among educators, and strengthens family engagement to maximize student growth.

International Accreditation
Pathways, as a member of the Middle States Advisory Board, provides end-to-end leadership support for schools in the Middle States Accreditation (MSA) process—from initial planning to final submission. Grounded in each school’s mission and pedagogy, Pathways ensures clear communication of expectations, timely submission of required documentation, and completion of internal audits to prepare the MSA Self Study, evidence, and site visits. Accreditation offers a holistic, research-based evaluation of school performance, guiding strategic improvement. MSA accreditation strengthens student pathways to universities and careers, equips leaders to drive innovation, enhances institutional credibility, and fosters continuous academic and organizational growth.

Wellness Conferences
Pathways Education Consultancy provides wellness-focused professional development designed to strengthen instructional best practices. These workshops equip schools with practical strategies to improve teaching and learning while fostering educator well-being. Building on insights from each school’s back-to-school training, the sessions incorporate advanced instructional techniques, reflective activities, and collaborative discussions—empowering educators to refine their practice and create supportive, high-impact learning environments.
